MODEL 9100 USER MANUAL
SA-2
NEW CHANGES IN MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS
The following describes new changes implemented in the latest (Mar, 06) 8100/9100 US/Mexico software
release.
This suplement outlines all changes made to the software. This software release also pertains to the
Model 8100 terminal software, providing a single load file for updating 9100 or 8100 terminals. New
functionality included in this supplement includes:
1. User Defined Surcharge Screens
2. Configurable Currency Symbol
3. Enhanced Print Error Management
4. Improve logging of power failures during dispense
5. Check for TDM-100 protocol before TDM-200
USER DEFINED SURCHARGE SCREEN SUPPORT
The functionality is designed to give the terminal owner the ability to create a screen to display surcharge
information. This screen can be created from the terminal in Management functions or in Triton Connect
4.3 and downloaded to the terminal.
The User Defined Surcharge (UDS) screens are a free form way of entering whatever text the owner wants
displayed as the surcharge message. This functionality is standalone and does not work in conjunction
with any other surcharge functionality that dynamically determines what may or may not be displayed on
the terminal, unless it is explicitly stated in this document. The common functionality supported by UDS
includes: the ability to be displayed at the beginning or end of the transaction process and displaying the
surcharge amount or percentage defined in the terminal, if the necessary parameters are entered as part of
the UDS text. This common functionality will be described in greater detail later in this section.
EDITING
UDS screens can be enabled, created, deleted, and modified at the terminal and using Triton Connect.
