Do not click STOP in Isis!
Create the empty matrix file
1. In the Delph Mosaic and DTM dialog box, click
Set Projection and
Bounding Box
. At a minimum you should enter the Resolution and
verify that the values displayed in the Input and Output projection boxes
are correct for your data.
For example, if your XTF file has navigation in Lat/Long, then the Input
projection will be
Not Projected (Longitude, Latitude), and the Output
projection will default to the appropriate UTM zone.
2. In the Map and Projection Settings dialog box, you will see the E-W
dimensions of the area and the coordinates of the NW corner of the area.
If you need to, you can change these parameters by accommodating a
larger (or smaller) area or different NW corner. To gain access to these
fields, uncheck the
Set Default Limit box.
3. Click
OK, check the box marked Build Sidescan Mosaic, and then click
Start Mosaic.
4. In the Save As dialog box select the name of the mosaic file and its
location (you do not need to add the DDS_VIF extension) and click
Save.
After a blank mosaic file has been created, the system reports:
Successfully started mosaic.
5. If you click
More Options, you can apply layback to the positioning. This
layback can either come from the layback in the XTF file, or you can type
it in manually at this time.
6. If the towfish was attached to the vessel, instead of being towed when
the data was acquired, you have additional choices that can be accessed
if you uncheck the
Apply Layback box: You can then choose Course
made good, Heading
(from a fish mounted gyro), or Gyro (from the
vessel gyro). In the majority of cases, the default
Course made good is
best.
Leave the Delph Mosaic and DTM dialog box open! —
This must be active to create the mosaic file!
